Planter Boxes

Designing and Building custom built planter boxes is one of my favorite activities, mostly because it gets me out of the workshop.

Here is the custom deck and multi-level planter I did last year just prior to selling a home in San Francisco.

This project included 6 large planters one set behind and above the other as well as two turrets with planters at the top and a free standing planter custom designed between two staircases.  All planters in this project were made with California Redwood.  This project was not made with reclaimed or re-purposed wood.

I also hand made the garage door!
Here is the front of the house where I made another long horizontal planter with a drainage system to keep water away from front of the house. The horizontal planter was also built on a 30 degree decline as this house is on one of those infamous SF hills. There are another 8 cube planters on the roof with fence attaching all planters.

Planter Cubes

I still have the cube planters from the roof.  They are available with the fencing or without.  I have 8 left. $30 each or 4 for $100. (contact)  Each planter comes with a free plant unless you don't want it.  Here are some photos...

Reclaimed Wood Planter

Below is a recent reclaimed wood planter.  All the wood for the this planter was reclaimed from the streets of San Francisco.  The wood is stained and water sealed.  The wood was found in the Mission district of San Francisco, CA next to a dumpster and the wood was restored, designed and built in Upper Noe, San Francisco, CA. The planter has been stained and water sealed and will not need to be resealed or stain for 5 years.  This reclaimed planter is available for $100. (contact)
